Zakimi Castle Ruins Park

The ruins of Zakimi Castle were built in the early 15th century by Gosamaru, a Yomitanzan Anji, who was known as a master castle builder, and served as a base for trade with China and other southern countries. Built on a small hilltop and made of coral limestone, the castle ruins park features Okinawa's oldest arched stone gate, and offers a panoramic view of the East China Sea.
